This summer, more specifically from the 9th to the 30th of July, 18 teens and I had the chance to live an unforgettable 21-day experience that consisted of a 10-day stay with a host family and an 11-day stay in a youth camp called "Together in Istanbul."
My experience with the host family was great:
I had the chance to visit and see every shade of Istanbul and try every specialty of the city's cuisine.
They also offered to wash my clothes and paid for my food every single time. They even gave me an Istanbul card for free, which allowed me to travel by any kind of public transport for free.

The experience in the camp was quite different than the family stay, but it was very good as well. In fact, we participated in many workshops organized by the camp and prepared a dance show to present at the talent night! We also explored every corner of Istanbul and visited different cities in the nearby area. The most fun I had was when we participated in some firefighter drills and visited a very interesting museum.
All in all, it was a great experience that I would absolutely do again. The camp staff was nice and kind, and the activities were often very well organized.
