ITALIA: what else?

The exchange in Finland began with the reception by the host family at Oulu airport.
After a tour of introductions we headed straight to the Arctic Circle in the village of Santa Claus.
In the one night stay I experienced the famous Finnish saunas for the first time and enjoyed the sunlight constantly.
The following days I visited Tampere, their summer cottage by the lake and in the meantime I did many walks in the forests and along the waterfront.
All this immersed in Finnish culture with meals based mainly on potatoes and fish, but also eating delicious meats such as reindeer.
I also had the pleasure of attending a big festival in Oulu, with various singers from all over Finland.

During the week of the camp I made friends with young people from various countries.
We began to get to know each other by exchanging information, traditions and cultures of their own country and by telling each other about our experiences in their respective families.
With the camp we travel a lot to see naturalistic places while in the meantime I talked to us about the environment and the care that the Finnish people put into keeping it clean.
We also visited some historical places of which they gave us an insight into historical finland.
But there was no shortage of fun either as we went to see a game of Pesäpallo from Sotkamon.
The end of the field came faster than everyone expected and with that we had to separate but despite this we still feel and hope that in the future we will meet again aware of how much this experience has changed us.
