L'8 luglio sono partita per le mie tre settimane in Danimarca con il Lions Club. Ho trascorso la prima settimana in famiglia nel sud del Paese ospitata da una famiglia multietnica per metà danese e per metà indiana, assieme poi ad altri due ragazzi ospitati come me: una ragazza dalla Turchia e uno dall'Ungheria. Durante quei sette giorni mi sono sentita veramente parte della comunità danese: ho esplorato le fitte foreste tipiche del Paese, ho assistito ad una parata che nel paesino di Sønderborg, dove abitavo, capita una sola volta l'anno, ho assaggiato piatti tipici e ho vissuto come fossi veramente figlia di due genitori in realtà non miei.

La mia esperienza per i YCE 2022 è cominciata il 9 luglio dall'aeroporto di Napoli in direzione Copenaghen. Ero lieta ed euforica di poter fare per la prima
volta un'esperienza con i Lions Club International.
Non appena sono arrivata la mia Host Family, che avevo già conosciuto online, mi ha fatto sentire parte integrante della loro quotidianità.
Insieme abbiamo fatto diverse attività interessanti e divertenti. Il giorno dopo il mio arrivo mi hanno portata al Frederikssund Vikingespil. “Spil “è una parola danese che tradotta in Italiano significa "show" dei Vichinghi che si tiene in determinati periodi della stagione estiva a Frederikssund all'area aperta. Lo show è durato due ore ed era in lingua danese, però mi hanno tradotto le parti principali.
Raccontava alcune storie mitologiche sui Vichinghi.

This summer I had the opportunity to do a great experience thanks to lions.
I spent a week with the host family and three weeks on campus.
I met new people and I also got to know new cultures from all over the world.
I found the organization very effective and I also found myself very well with everyone on campus and in a short time we have created a very strong relationship.
It's an experience that I recommend to everyone, because it is a way to know new cultures, make new friends and also improve with the language.

In July 2022 I took part in the Youth Camp and Exchange program for the first time in Denmark Camp C (Sustainability and bringing people together) after winning a contest at my school.
It has been an incredible yet chaotic journey. I say this because before my departure I unexpectedly got covid, so I skipped the host family stay, but could still participate in the camp a week later. I arrived two days later than the others, so I wasn’t there when this picture was taken, but they made sure to include me by putting my face in a bubble on the right. It makes me smile every time I look at it.
