A luglio di quest'anno ho avuto la possibilità di partecipare a uno scambio in Canada,a Calgary, grazie ai Lions.
La mia esperienza è durata tre settimane, di cui due in famiglia e una in campeggio, in un campo assieme ad altri ragazzi sia di altre nazionalità, che anche canadesi. Durante queste tre settimane ho potuto fare varie esperienze che non mi sarei mai immaginata, tra tutte queste la mia preferita è stata lo Stampede, un festival annuale che si tiene a luglio, proprio a Calgary.

Oltre a questo ho potuto visitare la cittadina di Banff, una delle più belle del Canada e anche andare al festival della musica folk di Calgary, assieme alla mia sorella ospitante e altri ragazzi che partecipavano allo scambio. La mia famiglia ospitante ha reso quest' esperienza fantastica, mi sono sempre sentita trattata come parte della famiglia e non mi hanno mai fatto mancare nulla. Grazie a loro ho potuto sperimentare il vero stile di vita canadese e mi sono sentita inclusa dal primo fino all'ultimo giorno che ho passato con loro.
Anche la settimana passata in campeggio con gli altri ragazzi è stata assolutamente entusiasmante, ho stretto amicizia con ragazzi di altre nazionalità e ho potuto fare attività come rafting o aiutare ripulire una zona colpita da un tornado. Sicuramente sono state tre settimane molto ricche di esperienze varie, grazie alle quali ho imparato molto. Sono veramente grata di aver fatto quest'esperienza e di averla vissuta così bene.

 In July this year I had the opportunity to participate in an exchange in Canada,in Calgary, thanks to the Lions. 
My experience lasted three weeks, two of which I stayed with a family and one in a camp together with other young people of both other nationalities and also Canadians. During these three weeks I was able to have various experiences that I never would have imagined, among all of them my favorite was the Stampede, an annual festival held in July, right in Calgary. 
In addition to this I was able to visit the small town of Banff, one of the most beautiful in Canada, and also go to the Calgary Folk Music Festival, along with my host sister and other exchange kids. My host family made this experience great, I always felt treated as part of the family and they never let me lack anything. Thanks to them I was able to experience the real Canadian way of life and I felt included from the first day until the last day I spent with them.
The week I spent with the other kids was also absolutely exciting, I made friends with kids of other nationalities and I was able to do activities like rafting or helping clean up an area hit by a tornado. Definitely it was a very rich three weeks of varied experiences, through which I learned a lot. I am really grateful that I had this experience and that I had such a good time.
